This year has gone extremely fast and we have many activities going on to celebrate the end of the year. The month of May is "Right To Read Month". Activities during this mmonth will include a visit
from "Outback Ray" and guest readers reading books with an animal theme to the classes.
Field day will be June 1st (all day). It will be held rain or shine. There will be inflatable activities, relays, and other activities during this time. This is the last Friday of the year. The last day of school for students will be June 5th.
First grade students will go to Campus for a 1/2 day in May to receive an orientation. We will send home permission slips once we finalize the date.
Lastly, we will have a hot dog picnic for the first grade students to celebrate their stay at Wait Primary School. This will be done during the lunch periods.
The staff members atWaitPrimary Schoolare committed to teach our students the importance of the seven pillars of character education. The seven pillars of character education are: 1. respect, 2. responsibility, 3. self control, 4. compassion, 5. cooperation, 6. work ethic, and 7. honesty.
The pillar that we are working on in October is “responsibility”. The theme of “work ethic” will be interwoven into classroom lessons this month. Next month the pillar will be “Honesty”.
